Job Summary
Devops Lead -Legal & IPDR Hadoop Ops — Manage central operations of the Legal on the CDP platform and IPDR Hadoop Platform services to ensure availability of critical Voice, SMS, GPRS CDRs and IPDRs for nodal and law-enforcement teams. Ensure high performance and service excellence with 7+ IT SLAs, coordinating a multi-partner ecosystem. Lead a ~30-person team, drive automation and AI/ML/RPA initiatives to improve operational efficiency, and collaborate with delivery, transformation, and partner teams to deploy new IT applications or updates on the Cloudera data platform.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in managing Hadoop Big Data technologies (Hortonworks Data Platform and Cloudera Data Platform)
- Proficiency with Cloudera Manager and CDP Cluster tuning
- Experience with MapReduce, Kafka, Kerberos, Impala, HDFS, HBase, Hive, Kudu, Spark, Iceberg, Yarn, and Ozone
- Experience with Parquet, ORC, and AVRO file formats in Hadoop environments
- Experience managing production environments with high availability, SLA monitoring, KPI monitoring, real-time ingestions, and data model management
- Automation experience to reduce MTTR and drive efficiency
- Strong analytical and independent thinking with solid technical background in application operations
- Experience with ITIL, DevOps methodologies, and Agile frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to manage partners and business stakeholders alike
- Ability to lead and manage teams (direct and indirect) and work with multiple partners (e.g., Accolite, Kyndryl, Cloudera, IBM) for service delivery
- Knowledge of deploying and operating large-scale data platforms in telecom or similar industries
