Job Summary
Agile Product Owner for NRAO Monitor & Control (M&C) software products. Define product vision, manage and prioritize the backlog, translate requirements into well-formed user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and operations staff to deliver high-quality software solutions. Requires Agile/Scrum expertise, experience with Jira/Confluence, and the ability to coordinate across distributed teams in a research environment. Roles located at NRAO sites in Charlottesville, VA; Socorro, NM; Albuquerque, NM; or Green Bank, WV. Must be authorized to work in the US; H-1B sponsorship is not available. Starting salary range: $79,000–$120,000. Total rewards and benefits described.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management, computer science, astronomy or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active certification as an Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) and/or Certified Scrum Professional – Product Owner (CSP-PO)
- Experience as Product Owner in software development
- Ability to work with stakeholders including scientists, engineers, and operations staff
- Authorized to work in the US; no H-1B sponsorship for international applicants
