Job Summary
The Agile Product Owner Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading design and development delivery across VWFS Auto Finance projects, owning the end-to-end Agile backlog, translating client requirements and enterprise strategy into executable user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating with VWFS stakeholders, Release Management, QA, and Development teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions in a regulated financial services environment. Responsibilities include guiding backlog prioritization, ensuring alignment with client requirements and enterprise priorities, supporting release planning, coordinating cross-team dependencies, participating in production support as needed, validating work against acceptance criteria, and mentoring other Product Owners and Analysts in Agile and SAFe practices.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience as a Product Owner or Product Owner Lead in Agile or SAFe environments
- Strong experience working on design and development–focused projects, with exposure to production support models
- Proven ability to work directly with clients to gather requirements, write BFRs, and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Demonstrated experience delivering solutions within Auto Finance or financial services domains
- Strong collaboration skills across Release Management, Product, QA, and Development teams
- Ability to operate independently on complex, multi‐team initiatives with significant business impact
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences
- 8+ years of experience in Product Ownership or related Agile delivery roles
- Bonus is you have Auto Finance experience (ALS / AF platforms) strongly preferred
