Aggregate Operations Manager

Job Summary
Supervise daily production of sand, gravel, and crushed stone to meet quality and volume targets while monitoring crushing and screening operations for optimal yield and cost efficiency. Implement preventative maintenance protocols, manage capital expenditure processes across multiple locations, and oversee budgets to achieve profitability targets. Recruit, train, and mentor operators, mechanics, and plant managers to build a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations while coordinating shipping, loading, and stockpile logistics. Partner with senior leadership on long-term production planning and capacity expansion strategies.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in aggregate mining or raw materials plant production
- Strong working knowledge of MSHA regulations
- A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
- Understanding of aggregate production equipment and processes, specifically in handling wash plant operations, screeners, and conveyors
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Experience managing supervisors or foremen
- Ability to manage inventory, production scheduling, and monitor KPIs such as cost per ton and equipment uptime
- Experience in managing stockpiles and coordinating shipping/loading operations

- A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Management, or a related field
