Job Summary
Aggregate Lube & Fuel/Maintenance Technician responsible for fueling and lubricating heavy quarry equipment, performing routine maintenance, operating water trucks for dust control, maintaining fuel and service records, and supporting general quarry operations. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment during fueling and lubrication, reporting mechanical or safety concerns, ensuring fuel storage/handling compliance with safety and environmental standards, monitoring dust levels and adjusting water/roadway maintenance as needed, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assisting with basic preventative maintenance, and collaborating with maintenance personnel and quarry operations to address operational, environmental, and safety issues. Ideal candidates have practical experience with heavy equipment, lubrication, fueling, and maintenance procedures, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors with minimal supervision, plus good communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate equipment in a quarry or construction environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance practices
- Knowledge of lubrication, fueling, and preventative maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform inspections and recognize potential equipment issues
