Job Summary
Perform laboratory testing for soil and aggregate materials, recording data, conducting measurements, and compiling results. Calibrate and maintain testing equipment in a clean working order while assisting in evaluations of concrete and masonry products. Report test findings to project managers and communicate effectively with clients and coworkers. Participate in continuing education to maintain proficiency in current testing technologies. Work independently in a professional office environment with occasional field duties on construction sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical surveillance in certain specialty areas
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in a related field
- 1+ year related experience
- 6+ months previous experience as AET Trainee technician (intern/co-op)
- Communication skills sufficient to work effectively with clients and coworkers
- Ability to interact successfully with a wide variety of people, work effectively within project teams, resolve issues and problems in a constructive manner, and work independently in the field
- Capable of the physical labor required, with personal protective equipment
- Frequently lift 30-60 pounds from the floor to 2 feet
- Occasionally lift 60-100 pounds from the floor to 2 feet
- Frequently carry 30-60 pounds for 10-30 feet
- Occasionally carry 60-100 pounds for 10-30 feet
