Agentic AI Governance Director

Job Summary
Agentic Governance Director role responsible for defining and publishing agentic AI governance frameworks and risk management practices across JPMorganChase. Lead multi-agent governance models, establish escalation thresholds and human-in-the-loop requirements, publish white papers and frameworks, and build strategic roadmaps for data and AI governance to accelerate safe deployment. Influence senior leadership, collaborate across LOBs and corporate functions, and align governance strategy with business objectives while addressing regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in the AI/ML space
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics)
- Deep technical understanding of AI/ML in governance, controls, and compliance
- Wide and deep grasp of traditional ML, deep learning, multi-modal models, and agentic construct to manage risks
- Proven success managing large scale, complex AI/ML initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong demonstrated technical writing skills for technical, regulatory, and executive audiences
- Proven technology practitioner focused on data management automation leveraging AI/ML to address risks, safety and controls
- Experience developing and publishing frameworks, methodologies, or standards adopted by others
- Applied understanding and experience building and running agentic AI, autonomous systems, and AI architectures
- Awareness of global AI and privacy regulatory landscape (EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA)
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership and external stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred, such as MS and/or PhD
- Background in AI research and related emerging technologies
- Relevant experiences implementing tech-enabled governance solutions for multiple industries or global markets
