Job Summary
Agentic AI Engineering Expert—hybrid role based in SAP Vancouver office. Design, build and productionize enterprise-grade AI and multi-agent solutions across processes in CPIT, collaborating with product owners, data scientists, and architects. Responsibilities include creating scalable (gen)AI services, building data pipelines and deployment workflows, implementing CI/CD and MLOps, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring reliability, observability and compliance of deployed AI systems. Requires strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with Python (preferred) or Java/node.js, backend frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud-based CI/CD and MLOps (Azure ML, Databricks, AWS), ETL and API workflows, and Agile/SAFe practices. Bachelor degree and 10+ years of experience are required; English fluency is required. The role sits in a multi-disciplinary unit (CE3) focused on Agentic AI autonomous workflows and enterprise-grade platform development, with a strong emphasis on governance, experimentation, and cross-team enablement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development
- Advanced coding skills in Python (preferred) or Java or Node.js
- Experience in designing and architecting enterprise software solutions
- Experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and microservice architectures
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, MLFlow)
- Experience implementing CI/CD and MLOps pipelines in cloud environments (Azure ML, Databricks, AWS)
- Hands-on experience with data ETL, APIs and model deployment workflows
- Knowledge of distributed systems and data platforms for big data
- Understanding of Agile, SAFe methodologies and collaborative engineering practices
- Fluent English
