Job Summary

The Station Agent loads and offloads cargo and passenger bags, checks in and boards passengers, handles arrival and departure times, completes paperwork, conducts email and telephone communication with internal and external customers, and processes payments for cargo and tickets. Additional duties include recording flight times, radio communications with the aircraft, processing weight and balance data, warehouse and commissary tasks, assisting passengers with mobility and special needs, handling damaged/missing goods claims, assembling reservations and passenger data, issuing tickets and airway bills, and managing interline and employee travel. Qualifications emphasize Grade 10 or equivalent, customer service skills, and the ability to obtain dangerous goods handling certification and an AVOP; Inuktitut ability is a definite asset. The successful candidate must reside in Igloolik, NU, and is expected to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
