Job Summary
Agent Relations Consultant (University of Guelph) supports the management, development, and ongoing review of the global network of recruitment agents and vendors, coordinating vetting, onboarding, training, and performance assessment. Responsibilities include agent training and support, stakeholder communications, commission verification and payments processing, vendor and partner support, and maintaining alignment with international recruitment strategy. The role collaborates with International Admission, GPS, and academic program contacts to ensure accurate information, trains agents on compliance requirements, manages agent portals, and oversees contractor payments and procurement related to international recruitment. Requires an undergraduate degree and 3–6 years in related fields, strong cross-cultural communication, marketing and project-management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems, and willingness to travel; on-campus location in Guelph, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree with 3-6 years progressive experience in international student recruitment, education marketing, international relations or related field
- Experience navigating sensitive conversations, cultural awareness, diplomacy, and cross-cultural engagement; ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Excellent marketing, organizational, project and event management, judgement, decision-making, and customer service skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, target-driven environment; meet deadlines; manage competing priorities effectively
- Creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and self-motivation; familiarity with emerging communication technologies (e.g., web development, e-communications, portals, social media)
- Ability to research and analyze large volumes of information and develop strategic recommendations
- Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, publishing software, and laptop technology; experience with Slate, Colleague, or similar systems preferred, experience with agent management systems preferred
- Experience with accounts payable, purchase order generation, and other financial duties preferred
