Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on all ground support equipment per established schedules, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing power plants, drivetrains, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Modify, overhaul, and paint equipment to Swissport standards while operating both motorized and nonmotorized vehicles. Respond to emergency service calls, accidents, and on-call maintenance requests after hours, ensuring no equipment returns to service until fully repaired. Pick up parts, complete all documentation, and liaise with Ramp management and customers professionally. Maintain a clean shop, comply with all safety and security requirements, and obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance. Possess your own tools and be certified in heavy duty or automotive mechanics.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of experience in GSE Maintenance
- Valid driver's license
- ability to obtain and maintain a YOW D/A license
- Flexible to work on various shifts
- Certification of completion in one of the following trades: Heavy duty/Commercial or Automotive mechanic license
- Good oral and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Willing to travel when necessary for training or to assist other SP stations with GSE needs
- Must be proficient in diesel engine diagnosis and repair
- basic welding
- basic hydraulic experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Transport Canada Security Clearance
- Possess your own tools
