Job Summary
Develop and monitor infection prevention programs to identify hazards, prevent infection spread, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Oversee antimicrobial stewardship, employee health, and influenza initiatives while serving on the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee. Conduct rounds to evaluate compliance with transmission precautions, track surveillance trends, and deliver staff education on safety protocols. Maintain required records and reporting documentation. Monday through Friday shifts available with per diem rates and weekly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state nursing license
- Degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology, microbiology
- Infection Control and Prevention Certification
- Experience in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting
