Job Summary
Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment across the full line from planting to harvest, documenting all work orders to ensure customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot and fix diesel engines while collaborating with the team to resolve repairs efficiently. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by adhering to company policies and utilizing your own mechanic tool set. Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge. This role is part of a third-generation family-owned CAT dealer committed to providing the right tools for career development.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field
- High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience
- 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience
- Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment
- ag technology experience
- Ability to write and communicate effectively
- Ability to interact with supervisors, customers and team members
- Basic computer skills
- Own mechanic tool set
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
- Ability to lift bulky objects
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus
