Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on agricultural, turf, and precision ag equipment. Communicate maintenance recommendations and repair findings to customers and the Service Manager while documenting all work performed. Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current on John Deere and competitive equipment, and maintain tools, vehicles, and the work environment to ensure safety and organization. Complete work orders accurately, accounting for labor and materials used, while following all dealership safety standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years of equipment service or repair experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to perform repairs using technical manuals, specialized tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Experience with service software
- Technical degree
- Basic Service Technician Certification
- Forklift certification
