Job Summary
Apprentice learns basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment under the supervision of a Service Manager, participating in company-provided training to develop skills. The role involves learning John Deere and competitive product knowledge, maintaining vehicles and tools, ensuring a clean work area, following safety rules, and completing all required reports and forms. Requires the ability to lift heavy objects, operate diagnostic vehicles, proficient communication, and flexible work hours with full-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an energetic person who has a desire to learn about mechanics
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to use computer applications
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required along with a good driving record
- Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
- Must have reliable attendance
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
