Job Summary
Ag Service Road Technician at Reynolds Farm Equipment performs in-field diagnostics and repairs on John Deere and related equipment using a mobile service vehicle, traveling to customer locations. The role emphasizes clear, courteous communication with customers, accurate work orders and documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. The technician maintains knowledge of equipment, manages parts and tools on the service vehicle, and may mentor trainees. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associates degree preferred, and a minimum of 5+ years of service-repair experience is desirable. CDL and forklift licenses are preferred but not mandatory. Strong teamwork, confidentiality, and customer-service orientation are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience performing service repairs; preferred
- Proficient knowledge of data entry and keyboarding
- Product knowledge of heavy and diesel equipment; off-road, construction, lawn, and related technology
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and technology systems
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
- Forklift license preferred but can be certified in-house
- Strong communication skills; documentation and reporting
- OSHA safety protocols familiarity
