Job Summary
Ensure proper installation, modification, and maintenance of all beet receiving facilities, including truck scales, pilers, loaders, and support equipment, while fabricating components for inventory use. Plan job details without direct supervision and safely operate pay loaders, skidsteer loaders, and sugarbeet pilers. Create work orders in the computerized maintenance management system, verify parts stock status, and apply troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues. Provide leadership in the company's safety programs and safety training. Requires a Class A or B CDL, DOT physical, and completion of mechanical aptitude and welding tests. Day shift schedule with rotating hours during harvest season.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or a GED certificate
- Mechanical Aptitude Test
- Basic Skills Test
- Welding test
- Current and satisfactory DOT physical examination certification (DOT health card)
- Ability to recertify health card
- Meeting all DOT requirements, including random drug testing
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
- Class A or B drivers License with a CDL obtained within 45 days of employment
- Must be able to plan details of jobs without direct supervision
- Safely operates pay loader, skidsteer loader and sugarbeet piler
- Create Work orders using the Company's computerized maintenance management system including estimating time and material requirements
- Verifies stock status on parts required in maintenance activities
- Uses troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques in resolving issues
