Job Summary
Ag Loan Officer responsible for spearheading customer relationship development and advocacy through proactive business development and comprehensive loan portfolio analysis. Will cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with agricultural clients, guiding them toward internal partners for deposits, insurance, wealth management, and residential mortgage services. Responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, ensuring accurate risk coding, addressing outstanding tasks, and overseeing the solicitation, negotiation, underwriting, and coordination of loan closings in alignment with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. Operates with considerable autonomy in credit decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, agriculture, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural lending or related financial services role
- Robust comprehension of agricultural operations, production cycles, and financial management principles
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining client relationships within the agricultural community
- Proficiency in credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring techniques
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities
- Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines within a dynamic environment
