Job Summary
Ag/Commercial Banking loan officer role focusing on originating, underwriting, servicing, and growing a portfolio of agricultural and commercial loans. Develops referral networks, cross-serves products, analyzes financial statements to build consultative banking relationships, negotiates loan terms including collateral and repayment schedules, and spends up to 50% time outside the office meeting clients. Requires strong credit analysis, customer service, strategic thinking, and the ability to present loan concepts to loan committees; emphasizes relationship-building with prospects and existing customers across the bank’s product line.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree with advanced specialized knowledge in finance and/or agriculture business
- 3+ years Ag or commercial lending experience
- knowledge of FSA, USDA and SBA programs
