Job Summary
Guide students through project-based learning curricula in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, and game design during after-school sessions. Lead instruction for children ages 8-14 with a teacher-to-student ratio of 20:1, utilizing strong technology skills in 3D modeling, robotics, or competitive gaming. Work Monday through Friday from approximately 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, maintaining consistent attendance and transporting equipment throughout the Fresno Unified School District. Earn $20-$27 hourly with paid training provided. No formal teaching experience is required, though a high school diploma and 48 college units or NCLB exam completion are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent
- Reliable transportation throughout Fresno Unified School District with ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment
- Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday with earlier start times on Tuesdays (1:00-6:00 PM)
- Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available
- Instructors must be at least 21 years of age
- significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology
Desired Qualifications
- teaching experience in some capacity
- Experience with technology or teaching
- Experience with children in an educational setting
- Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers
- Strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc.
- significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming
