Job Summary
The Head Track Coach position is responsible for coaching middle school student athletes to improve their skills, promoting sportsmanship values, and ensuring safety during practices and meets. The coach will collaborate with the Athletic Facilitator for scheduling, manage equipment logistics, maintain communication with the nursing department for athlete needs, and uphold school policies related to conduct and attendance. Essential skills include comprehensive knowledge of track rules and techniques, youth development principles, conflict resolution, and the ability to foster a positive team culture. The position requires a Connecticut Coaching Certification, with preferred qualifications in related sports experience and coaching.
