Job Summary
Supervise a group of children within the Afterschool Program and deliver a quality experience aligned with YMCA core values. Plan and implement culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate activities while assisting the Site Director with management duties, schedules, and daily procedures. Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and abuse prevention standards, maintaining positive relations with parents and staff. Report suspicious behaviors and follow mandated reporting requirements for all policy violations. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 19 years old
- Successful completion of background and Child Abuse and Neglect screening
- First Aid/ CPR /AED certification (valid 2 years unless otherwise noted)
- Requisite Online Training Modules (completed before the start date and repeated annually)
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings
- Ability to be physically active includes but is not limited to walking, sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, climbing, running, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.
- Must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the job's essential functions

- Previous experience working at a YMCA Childcare Program
