Job Summary
Supervise children at all times with safety as the first priority, actively participate in daily activities and events, and lead and manage groups under shared supervision. Maintain facilities, equipment, and supplies while communicating with supervisors about behavioral concerns. Adhere to YMCA policies, complete mandatory training, and report any suspicious behaviors or policy violations. Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and engage in play and sports as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16years old
- Successful completion of background and Child Abuse & Neglect screening
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Available Monday-Friday from school dismissal to 6:00 p.m. on school days
- Willing to have FUN and PLAY at work
- Attend regular in-service training
- Must be alert at all times, keeping safety in mind
- Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor the environment and children's well-being
- May be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. in various forms
- Must be able to sit, stand, or maintain physical activity for extended periods of time outdoors
- Physically, actively engage in play and sports
