Afterschool Group Leader

Afterschool Group Leader at the YMCA SACC program implements classroom curriculum, provides homework assistance, and maintains a safe, engaging, and nurturing afterschool environment. Reports to the Site Coordinator and Afterschool Director. Responsibilities include planning and executing programs compliant with EEC licensing regulations, promoting HEPA standards, providing accommodations for children with disabilities, supervising volunteers and staff, engaging families and recruiting new members, ensuring facilities are safe and well-maintained, and supporting fundraising and community involvement. Core competencies cover mission alignment, people leadership, results orientation, development, and child/youth education skills such as understanding growth, curriculum implementation, safety, and family partnerships.
