Job Summary
Plan and teach engaging afterschool clubs for students in Kearns and Magna, covering subjects like STEM, art, music, and cake decorating. Maintain attendance records, attend required training, and comply with DWS licensed exempt requirements. Participate in 4-H events and service projects. Work 1.5 hours daily for 9-10 week quarters between 3:30 and 6:30 pm, with flexible preparation times and optional evening family nights.
Required Qualifications
- Must work effectively with youth, families, and school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-Starter, good follow-through
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Past experience in the 4-H Program as a youth or volunteer
- Skills related to STEM and other afterschool subject matter
