Job Summary
Lead fun, engaging activities that support youth development, learning, and social growth while supervising children in a safe, inclusive environment. Provide direct support for homework and behavior development, maintain program records and supplies, and build positive relationships with families and staff. Adhere to all child safety protocols, including mandated reporting and abuse risk management trainings, while participating in meetings and YMCA events. Perform other duties as assigned to uphold the YMCA mission.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and assigned child safety trainings
- Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse background
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred
