Job Summary
Afterschool Assistant Site Coordinator at Arc Experience: support the Site Coordinator as the second point of contact for parents and administrators, oversee student safety and well-being during after-school activities, enforce behavioral expectations, coordinate indoor/outdoor enrichment, develop lesson plans, track attendance, ensure grant compliance, and lead clubs and activities (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance). Requires 2+ years in after-school programs, 48+ college credits or proficiency exam, TB test and Live Scan clearance, and ability to commute to San Diego schools. Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus; vaccination documentation may be requested. Part-time, non-exempt schedule with morning and afternoon shifts, Monday–Friday at specified school sites in San Diego, CA.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities
- Effective communication with kids and parents
- College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed OR successfully pass an academic proficiency exam
- TB test with negative result and Live Scan background check
- English-Spanish bilingual ability preferred (resume stands out)
- Covid-19 vaccination documentation if the school requires it
