Job Summary
Assemble precision optical components by interpreting blueprints, specifications, and workflow instructions while operating calibrated tools, measuring equipment, and machinery. Inspect parts and assemblies for quality imperfections using strong attention to detail and visual acuity. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and performing basic computer tasks for production tracking. Work afternoon shifts (Monday-Thursday) with a 4-day schedule, 10-hour shifts, and a $2.00/hour premium. Requires Ontario Secondary School Diploma, basic computer literacy, and familiarity with metric and imperial systems.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use technology effectively
- Understanding of technical issues and make sound decisions
- Comfortable and familiar working with the metric and imperial system
- Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada
- Resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years
- Meet all other program requirements
- Successful security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations and the Contract Security Program

- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
