Job Summary
Manage customer calls, resolve conflicts, and coordinate clinics and promotional events to drive service and parts sales. Oversee technician labor rates, productivity, and billing cycles while reporting weekly location metrics. Execute the marketing plan, maintain warranty processes, and submit claims to maximize credit. Develop staff through individual development plans and onboarding training. Ensure departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are operational, verify work order accuracy before billing, and manage inventory through perpetual and physical counts. Follow the Hutson Parts Department checklist daily and coordinate with regional parts management on merchandising. Submit service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within required timeframes. Maintain a clean, orderly parts department using the 5S process and ensure proper staffing for regular and after-hour needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment
- Knowledge of technology trends/advancements
- Business, financial and logistical management knowledge
- Knowledge of key customer account agronomic operations
- Ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Understanding of mechanical and technical terms
- Interpersonal skills
- Service oriented mindset
- Willingness to assist the customer
- Self-motivation to take on new tasks
- Willingness to help other departments when needed
Desired Qualifications
- 3 or more years of sales experience
- Knowledge of parts operating systems
