Aftermarket Engineer

Job Summary
Provide engineering and design resource to external and internal clients; lead major investigations and projects from an engineering perspective; undertake new equipment selections and designs to meet user specifications; assess existing equipment and generate repair procedures; sign-off designs and procedures to ensure accuracy; develop workable engineering solutions for clients; build external client relationships to promote the Howden product range and drive enhancements; mentor/lead engineering staff and manage workload; apply power plant process knowledge to ensure equipment operation aligns with design intent; develop and revise engineering documentation including specifications and welding procedures.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc Mechanical Engineering or B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering
- Fan performance testing and vibration troubleshooting
- Vibration and welding knowledge and experience
- 10 years experience in a heavy engineering workshop
- Proficient in MS Office especially PowerPoint presentations
- Valid driver’s license
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
