Job Summary
Plan, organize, and conduct recreational programs, activities, and events for youth ages 5–18 while providing individual guidance and referrals. Recruit members, motivate participation, and deliver assigned Teen Campus services with timely reporting and evaluation. Provide group and individual instruction, assist with homework, and ensure a safe environment through equipment maintenance and facility oversight. Collaborate with families, schools, and external organizations to enhance services. Plan and promote special events, stimulate interest through updated communications, and encourage sportsmanship. Submit required reports and records to appropriate staff. Participate in organizational meetings and conferences as requested. Maintain a healthy, safe environment in program areas. Supervise care and maintenance of equipment and facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college experience
- At least 1 year of experience in youth development
- Demonstrated ability to plan, conduct and supervise recreational/leadership programs and services
- Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 13-18 as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated
- Dedicated to the organizational mission
