Job Summary

Plan, organize, and conduct educational programs and events for youth ages 6-18 while recruiting and engaging members of all ages. Supervise departmental staff, assist in their training, and evaluate assigned work to ensure delivery of the Academic Success priority outcome. Maintain a healthy, safe environment, manage the Education Department budget, and conduct periodic equipment inventory. Lead staff meetings and family workshops, initiate community contacts with schools and organizations, and submit all required reports. Submit thorough evaluations for all departmental programs and services. Work full-time, 35 hours weekly, Monday through Friday in the afternoon and evening at the Elbaum Family Clubhouse in New York, NY.

Required Qualifications

  • A four-year degree from a state-accredited university or college", "Demonstrated ability to plan, conduct and supervise educational programs and services", "Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 6-18 as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner", "Must be highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission", "Strong written and verbal communication skills
