Job Summary
Plan, organize, and conduct departmental programs, activities, and events for boys and girls ages 6-18 while providing individual guidance and referrals. Recruit and engage members of all ages and genders, assist in staff recruiting and training, and supervise assigned personnel. Deliver engaging programming focused on the Academic Success priority outcome area and ensure a healthy, safe environment. Conduct periodic equipment inventories, manage the Education Department budget, and submit all required reports. Initiate community contacts with families, schools, and organizations to enhance services and create an up-to-date learning environment. Submit thorough program evaluations and participate in organizational meetings as requested.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year degree from a state-accredited university or college
- Demonstrated ability to plan, conduct and supervise educational programs and services
- Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 6-18 as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Must be highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years' experience in a related field
