Job Summary
Supervise children, implement activities, and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment while providing transportation for after-school pick-ups. Assist students in academic areas where they are weak through individual and group tutoring sessions, then document progress in reports shared with parents. Plan and coordinate outdoor sports activities, arts and crafts, and playground supervision to ensure engagement. Requires a valid driver's license, First Aid/CPR certification, and 45-hour DCF training. This role supports The Salvation Army's mission to serve families in Immokalee.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year experience teaching school aged basic academics
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid State Driver's License
- First Aid and CPR certification
- 45-hour DCF required school age training
- Level 2 background screening
