Job Summary
Oversee and engage a group of kindergarten through 6th grade children during the after school program, applying weekly lesson plans submitted by the director or site-lead. Work directly with the director and site-lead to assist, supervise, and contribute ideas to the afterschool team, while fostering a strong sense of community among staff and students. Attend all required staff trainings and meetings. This part-time role operates Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 pm, with a potential summer employment option available. Lititz Christian School provides a family environment where teachers are valued and equipped to care for children in the Warwick and Manheim Central school districts.
Required Qualifications
- High energy, engaging and a team player
- Must successfully pass all background checks, including fingerprint and reference checks
- Ability to interact with children and the school age team, give direction and vision when needed
- Minimum of 2500 hours of Childcare experience or equivalent education courses completed
- Engaging, upbeat, and warm personality
- Enjoys working with children
- Excellent communication and team player qualities
