Job Summary
Lead after-school instruction at KIPP Austin Comunidad in an early childhood education setting. Responsibilities include mentoring and coaching less experienced teachers, implementing KinderCare's curriculum to meet the needs of individual children, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for learning. Build and maintain partnerships with families, communicate with parents in English, collaborate with center staff and leadership to support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement, and foster positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The role involves supporting school-based programs across sites and contributing to a broader mission of delivering high-quality child care and education to children aged 6 weeks to 12 years across multiple centers.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
- Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring less experienced teachers
- Ability to implement KinderCare curriculum in a manner consistent with each child’s needs
