Job Summary
Conduct daily attendance and supervise the safety and well-being of children in the Kids Club environment. Execute culturally relevant program activities including SEL, arts and crafts, STEM, sports, and literacy while adhering to state regulations and YMCA policies. Assist in planning upcoming events and maintain effective communication with co-staff, parents, and caregivers. Model relationship-building skills and follow the Missing Child Procedure as needed. Take daily attendance and ensure all program standards for safety and cleanliness are met.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children
- Capable of being flexible and taking direction well
- Ability to always guard the health and well-being of children
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences, and insights
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings
- Must model relationship-building skills in all interactions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
