Job Summary
Conduct daily after-school program logistics, including scheduling, staff supervision, and ensuring a safe environment for 10-20 participants. Manage staff schedules, approve timesheets, and coordinate enrichment offerings while overseeing assistant site coordinators and club leaders. Lead on-site teams to deliver high-quality programs, implement safety protocols, and coordinate field trips as the lead team member. Maintain student attendance records, develop spending plans within budget, and communicate with parents, school administration, and facilities management. Participate in required trainings and serve as the liaison between the program and the community.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years' experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting
- 1+ years' experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children in a school or recreational setting
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work effectively with children and youth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling
- Frequent standing is required during working hours
- Regular use of hands for various tasks, such as operating a computer and handling objects
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Stable internet access is required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings preferred
- Associate's Degree in Child Development or a related field is preferred
