Job Summary
Plan and oversee daily activities for Lower School students, including outside play, snack, and study/homework time. Build positive relationships with students, guide conflict resolution, and maintain accurate sign-in/out sheets and inventory of supplies. Report discipline problems to the Director and ensure all students, including those on the Kangaroo Coach bus, are accounted for. Maintain accurate paperwork and perform other duties as assigned by the ASP Director. This role supports Gilman School's mission to educate boys in mind, body, and spirit, with hours from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of 6 semester credit hours (90 clock hours) of early childhood or elementary education coursework
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Experience working with pre-kindergarten and/or elementary school children
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills appropriate for various age groups
- Team player
- Self-starter with initiative
