Job Summary
After School Program Teacher at Larkdale Elementary, Educator role providing supervision of students and school facilities within the Firewall Centers after-school program. Responsibilities include supervising classrooms, cafeteria, hallways, and restrooms; supporting student behavior management, tutoring/homework help, teaching curriculum, and spearheading enrichment activities. Collaborates with school faculty and Firewall staff to run the program safely and smoothly, reports incidents to the Site Supervisor, and maintains confidentiality and professional relationships with staff, students, and parents. Requires Teacher’s Certificate, being at least 18 years old, DCF clearance for elementary staff, and an associate or bachelor’s degree; prior experience in a camp or school setting is preferred. Proficient with laptops/tablets/smartphones and able to perform required physical duties and hours tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Teacher’s Certificate
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- (Elementary Staff Only) Obtain DCF clearance
- Associate degree or bachelor's Degree
- Experience working in a camp or school setting
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Skill and ability to use and operate a laptop, tablet, and/or smartphone
