Job Summary
Lead daily operations for an expanded learning program serving K–12 youth, fostering a safe, inclusive environment that supports social-emotional growth and academic enrichment. Supervise staff, volunteers, and activity leaders through coaching, performance feedback, and reflective supervision while overseeing student recruitment, enrollment, and attendance initiatives. Manage program logistics, including facility maintenance, supply resources, payroll submissions, and incident reporting, ensuring compliance with district, grant, and state regulations. Collaborate with school administrators, families, and community partners to develop culturally responsive programming and facilitate ongoing communication that promotes student success. Maintain accurate documentation for attendance, snack reports, and quality improvement data to drive continuous program enhancement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher; alternatively, completion of at least 48 college units or passage of the Instructional Aide Examination
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB clearance
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a K–12 educational setting or youth-serving program
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience leading and supporting adult staff
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday and commit through the academic school year
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, school personnel, and community partners
- Proficiency with technology platforms including Google Drive, email, spreadsheets, and program management systems
- Working knowledge of restorative practices, youth development principles, and DEIB concepts
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, and move throughout program spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to actively supervise youth during indoor and outdoor activities
- Ability to travel between program spaces and participate in school and community events as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field
- Experience managing grant-funded educational or expanded learning programs
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or other languages)
