Job Summary
Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development within our after school setting as a ministry-minded mentor. Guide kids toward their full potential through wholehearted service, acting as a role model and Minister of the Gospel in our community. Maintain Monday through Friday coverage from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year while ensuring mandatory CPR/First Aid certification and passing background checks. Possess a passion for elementary-aged children, dependable transportation, and a valid driver's license. Spanish-speaking ability is greatly valued. We mobilize godly people to provide tangible help and eternal hope to kids and families.
Required Qualifications
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver's license or Valid ID
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Have dependable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
