Job Summary
Foster a safe, inclusive environment for clubs of approximately 20 students while planning and leading age-appropriate activities that support social-emotional learning and skill building. Monitor student attendance and participation, maintain accurate daily records, and request program materials to adhere to budget guidelines. Collaborate with the Site Coordinator and Program Manager to plan culminating events and facilitate off-site field trips as needed. Comply with all safety protocols, emergency procedures, and required trainings, including approximately 15 hours of professional development. Work Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with shifts varying by location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Availability Monday through Friday, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Must successfully pass an assessment evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling skills
- Ability to work effectively with children and youth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Frequent standing
- Regular use of hands for various tasks, such as operating a computer and handling objects
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings
- Associate's Degree in Child Development or a related field
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in academic, recreational, or youth development settings
