Job Summary

Plan and lead fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities that support whole-child development, including social-emotional learning, skill building, self-confidence, and leadership for clubs of approximately 20 children. Foster a safe and supportive environment while monitoring student attendance and participation to ensure consistent engagement. Build positive relationships with students, families, and stakeholders, and collaborate with the Site Coordinator to plan culminating events. Maintain accurate daily attendance records, request program materials within budget guidelines, and comply with all safety procedures and emergency protocols. Participate in off-site field trips and attend required professional development totaling approximately 15 hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Availability Monday through Friday, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work effectively with children and youth
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Must successfully pass an assessment evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling skills
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Frequent standing is required during working hours
  • Regular use of hands for various tasks, such as operating a computer and handling objects
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings
  • Associate's Degree in Child Development or a related field
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in academic, recreational, or youth development settings
