Job Summary
Provide a safe environment for learning by implementing curriculum for a variety of enrichment classes and establishing good rapport with parents and participants. Collaborate with volunteers to lead delegation while serving as a positive role model for youth in the program. Transport equipment to and from school sites and ensure safety through the enforcement of regulations and appropriate management techniques. Maintain availability Monday through Thursday between 2:30-5:30pm and hold current CPR/AED & First Aid certification. This role supports the YMCA's After School Enrichment Team, offering opportunities for growth, leadership, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass YMCA background check
- Availability Mon-Thursday between 2:30-5:30pm
- Possess (or obtain within 90 days) a current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
- Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate management techniques
- Must have reliable transportation
