Job Summary
EXL Program Instructor for Ruth Acty Elementary School in the After School Program (Part-Time). Facilitate engaging academic, enrichment, recreation, and social-emotional learning activities for K–12 students; supervise up to 22 youth; support behavior using restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices; provide homework assistance and adapt activities to diverse learning needs. Requires an Associate Degree or higher (or 48 college units) and successful completion of background checks and TB clearance; must complete mandated trainings (Mandated Reporter, etc.) and be able to lift up to 25 lbs while standing/walking for extended periods. Proficiency with basic tech tools (Word, Email, Google Drive, Workday) and strong English communication with students and families are needed. Flexible afternoons post-school hours with 20–30 hours per week, choose a school site (Berkeley, CA) and participate in meetings/trainings as part of BACR’s inclusive mission.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher
- 48 college units
