Job Summary
Supervise and engage elementary students during after-school hours from 3-6 pm while planning and leading educational, recreational, arts, and science enrichment activities. Create a welcoming, inclusive environment by maintaining appropriate classroom expectations, monitoring safety, and following all program policies. Prepare activity materials, participate in special events and themed projects, and communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and staff. Complete required documentation for attendance and incidents. This part-time role supports children's learning and development within Loudoun County schools, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet applicable background-check and child-safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children
- College coursework or a degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
