Job Summary
Supervise and engage elementary students during afternoon after-school hours while planning and leading educational, recreational, arts, and science enrichment activities. Create a welcoming, inclusive environment by maintaining appropriate behavior-management expectations and monitoring student safety. Prepare activity materials, participate in special events and themed projects, and communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and staff. Complete required attendance, incident, and program documentation. Part-time role (3-6 pm, Monday–Friday) in Gaithersburg and Rockville schools offers training, flexible scheduling, free food, and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet applicable background-check and child-safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children
- College coursework or a degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
