Job Summary
Lead engaging, hands-on STEM/STEAM enrichment classes using provided curriculum, LEGO® Bricks, and robotics tools for children ages 4–14. Create a positive, inclusive environment that fosters confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while adapting instruction to ensure every child feels included. Set up program materials before sessions and clean up afterward to maintain an organized learning space. Represent Snapology by building positive relationships with children, families, and school partners across the Lancaster area. This role offers a consistent part-time schedule of 10–15 hours per week over four afternoons or evenings, with opportunities to earn additional hours through field trips, birthday parties, camps, and special events.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a group or structured setting
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to confidently lead activities after completing training
- Availability for four afternoons/evenings each week
- Reliable transportation to the Snapology center and local partner locations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Ability to successfully complete federal, state, and child abuse background checks
- Dependable, organized, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
Desired Qualifications
- Valuable experience in education, child development, and youth programming
