Job Summary
Lead youth through after-school programs for children ages 5-12 at Independence Place and the Knoll Place in Northeast DC. Collaborate with the Youth Services Coordinator to develop and implement activities, assist in developing communications, and support summer programs and tutoring. Communicate with students and parents to collect report cards and permission slips, purchase supplies as needed, and assist volunteers in learning program activities. Develop monthly volunteer reports and an activities calendar while handling administrative issues. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1-3 years in education or social services, and CPR/First-Aid certification. College students majoring in elementary or secondary education are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications

- 1-3 yrs experience in education or social services

- food handler's license
